Eddie McDougall Wines was established in 2007 by Eddie McDougall, an enthusiastic entrepreneur, who sought to produce wines outside of the mainstream Australian varietals of Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Sauvignon Blanc. With a passionate intrigue of the subtle aspects of Old World wines, Eddie began his flagship range of wines grown out of the King Valley in Victoria - an area rich with Italian heritage.
In 2016, Eddie launched a premium range from Margaret River as part of a collaboration series with some of the top-rated winemakers in the region. His range has received 90+ point ratings from influential critics.
In 2018 Eddie McDougall Wines was presented with a Certificate of Excellence by The Real Review.
Eddie McDougall is passionate about bringing good wine to the masses. Inspired by a love of Italian wine varietals, Eddie sources his grapes from top growers in the region to produce approachable yet high-quality wines. Eddie has over a decade of winemaking experience, working with some of the most influential wineries including Vietti, Mas de Daumas Gassac, Giant Steps, Deep Woods Estate and Silver Heights. In 2010, Eddie founded his own Australian wine brand - Eddie McDougall Wines - achieving a 4.5 star rating from James Halliday. His wines continue to score 90+ points from international critics.
